About
I am an intermediate phase educator with a soothing Bachelor of Education from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specialising in Mathematics, Social Sciences, English FAL and IsiZulu Home Language. I am SACE-registered with hands-on experience in CAPS aligned teaching strategies, classroom management and lesson planning. I enrolled and completed formal university training in Computer Literacy, Coding and Robotics with practical exposure to integrating digital skills, problem-solving and computational thinking into CAPS-aligned teaching to support STEM learning and 21st century skills development. As a multifaceted educator my professional practice is grounded in the principles of social justice, inclusivity, and respect for diversity with a strong commitment to gender-fair and inclusive education as outlined in CAPS and education white paper 6. I am resilient, learner-centred and skilled in providing academic, emotional and psychosocial support to learners in diverse educational contexts. In addition, I posses’ active involvement and participation in extracurricular activities. I worked at Kwambonambi Secondary School as an Educator Assistant. I am currently a Mathematics and Life Skills Educator at an independent school.
