Springfield Convent Of The Holy Rosary (City Of Cape Town)

Okay so Springfield Convent of the Holy Rosary in the Southern Suburbs, because of course it is. You could not have given this school a more "we iron our uniforms AND our souls" name if you tried. Roman Catholic convent founding, co-educational, 974 learners, and 85 educators, which means one teacher for every 11.5 kids. Eleven and a half. Someone is getting half a teacher, and I think we all know which learner that is. The 100% matric pass rate is genuinely impressive, broe, I will give them that. But you have to wonder how much of that is academic excellence and how much is the Holy Rosary itself intervening on exam day. Like the Holy Spirit just sitting in the hall, whispering "it is C, my child, it is always C." Southern Suburbs private school energy is fully activated here, where the school description casually mentions "Roman Catholic convent founding" like that is just a normal thing people say, and not the opening line of a documentary about a very strict aunty. No boarding facilities though, which means every single one of these 974 learners has to go home at the end of the day and explain to their parents why they only got 89% when Jesus himself was apparently on the staff. Overall verdict: Spiritually intimidating, academically bulletproof, and probably smells like furniture polish and good intentions, but somehow still producing actual results, which is more than we can say for most schools that take themselves this seriously.
