That poor teacher is not teaching a class, she is managing a small taxi rank. Every single period. You built a private college in an area where the wildlife outnumbers the WiFi routers and then said "no no, they can commute." Respect the confidence though, truly. The one thing we cannot take away from them is that 100% matric pass rate. A hundred percent. In Hoedspruit. With eleven teachers splitting 236 learners like a loaf of government bread. That is actually mad impressive and whoever is running that school deserves a Nandos platter and a long weekend. The results are doing the heavy lifting that the staff numbers simply cannot. Overall verdict: Technically in the middle of nowhere with a teacher-to-chaos ratio that should be illegal, but somehow producing results that would make a Sandton school blush, which means Hoedspruit Independent College is either extremely disciplined or extremely lucky, and either way we respect it.
