A full taxi. With someone still hanging out the door asking if there is space. The teacher is the driver, the register is the manifest, and nobody knows who is actually supposed to be there. But listen, no fees. Zero rands. Absolutely free. Which means the government is funding this whole operation, which also means when load shedding hits Mankweng and the school has no power, there is no one to complain to because, brother, you paid nothing. You sit in the dark and you learn by feel. Photosynthesis? Just go outside. The sun is free too. Now here is the thing though. 86.1% matric pass rate with 39 kids per teacher and zero fees and load shedding and Limpopo heat that makes you want to sleep by 10am. That is actually not a joke, that is genuinely impressive. Those teachers are carrying the whole of Sovenga on their backs like it is nothing. The kids who passed out of this school did it the hard way, no fancy facilities, no small classes, no excuses. Overall verdict: Frans Mohlala is basically a pressure cooker that somehow produces diamonds, criminally underfunded and dangerously overcrowded, but the results say these people do not need your pity.
