I am extremely concerned about how my child belongings are handled at the school. My sons school jacket, shoes and gym shorts have gone missing and, despite raising the matter with the school, they have still not been found. These are brand-new clothes that cost money. What makes this particularly disappointing is that when my son accidentally came home with another learners jacket, I made sure that it was returned to the school. I believe the same responsibility should be expected from other parents when it comes to my childs belongings. I am also concerned about the Grade RR class being so full. At this age, I would expect the classes to have fewer learners so that each child can receive adequate attention, supervision and care. Having a very full class raises concerns about whether learners are receiving the level of supervision they need. Overall, I am genuinely disappointed. The school needs to look seriously at both the management of learners belongings and the number of learners in the Grade RR class. Parents are paying for their childrens education and should be able to have confidence that their children and their belongings are being properly looked after. I hope the school takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements rather than simply addressing individual complaints when they arise.
