Now let's talk about this ratio, because 1471 learners with only 56 educators works out to 26 kids per teacher. That one teacher is basically a traffic officer at a taxi rank during peak hour, just pointing kids in a direction and hoping for the best. You raising your hand in that class is an act of faith. Pure faith. The teacher is going to get to you sometime before Grade 7, just hang in there. 1471 kids at a primary school is genuinely unhinged.
