Twenty five teachers for 497 learners, that is a ratio of nearly 20 to 1, meaning your teacher is basically managing a small taxi rank every single period. Jy weet hoe is dit. Twenty five teachers, nearly 500 kids, Eastern Cape budget, and they are out here cooking. That is not a school, that is a pressure cooker with a Springbok jersey on. The kids who survived that ratio, survived the Karoo heat, survived whatever Eastern Cape load shedding schedule has been doing to everyone since forever, and still walked out with a matric certificate, those kids are built different. Cradock tough is a different kind of tough. Overall verdict: Looks like a forgotten outpost but quietly outperforms schools that charge more than your parents' bond, which is both inspiring and deeply embarrassing for everyone else.
